About us

An aerial venue, run by circus people

Circus Castle is a purpose-built aerial arts centre and co-living camp in Peliatan, Ubud. We train guests who fly in for a week, families who live in Bali, and professional artists preparing acts.

What we do

Training, accommodation and performance in one place

The business began as a training space for aerial artists and grew into a residential camp. Today the property combines a full-height aerial hall, an open-air pavilion, accommodation, and four locations we use for photo and video work.

Our programmes are built around individualised coaching: even in group sessions, the difficulty is set per person. That is what allows a complete beginner and a competing artist to train in the same room on the same afternoon.

Alongside the camp and regular classes, we host retreat organisers and creative collaborations, and we are preparing a teacher training certificate course scheduled to launch in July 2027. The students training with us this year form the first group of candidates.

A competitive aerialist with a medical degree from Kharkiv National Medical University, so training stays anatomically sound as loads grow. Multiple-time Fitness Champion of Ukraine and an international aerial medallist in silks and hoop, solo and duet. Performed on Indonesia's Got Talent. Coaching competition acts since 2021, with students on the podium. Teaches silks, hoop, straps, hammock, net and rope.

Our artistic director trained at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and the State Circus School (GUTSEI) in Moscow, and holds a degree in circus directing from GITIS. They shape the artistic direction of our programmes.

Dominic, on-camera host of Circus Castle

Dominic

On-camera host · Marketing & media

Dominic is the on-camera voice of Circus Castle — he tells the story of the space, its artists and its shows. A Cirque du Soleil performer (45 Degrees, OvO, MJ One) and three-time U.S. National Champion in trampoline, he brings fifteen years of world-class circus to how the Castle is seen and heard.

Retreat collaborations

Content creators

We work with photographers, videographers and UGC creators. Collaborations typically cover accommodation, training access, location access and on-site videographer support.

Professional artists

Indonesian law does not allow us to host volunteers or work-exchange programmes, but we offer discounted industry rates on camp weeks for working circus artists.
